Happy new year!

Fri Jan 2, 2009, 1:23 PM
Read above.

And I'm so not interested in 90% of the movies that are releasing this year, but some movies do got my attention:

Inkheart

I know it was based on a book, but the premise is played out so well.

Coraline

Even when I saw the poster, I was grabbed into it.

Fanboys

Not interested in the star wars franchise(yes, this counts the original trilogy), but it looks like a good comedy. And I like to see the disapointment the star wars fans would be with it.

Street fighter: The legend of Chun-Li

The premise sounds interesting, and I less-then-3 the japanese poster. it may be the few sequels better than the oringal (though that ain't saying much [link] If the first got negative reviews, why make a sequel? Meh.)

Watchmen

Mainly, because I like DC movies.

Transformers: Revenge of the fallen

I liked the 2007 film, but if they want moar tickets they should call it Transformers 2: Yes, this atucally has the theme song. (watch this to get the joke [link] . I have nothing against the name.)

The trailer got me more hyped, espially the bad-assed gitar solo in the trailer (that song better be in the movie soundtrack CD. I could care less of the singing part, but the gitar's epic.) And I thought it was stop motion, but this turned out to be CGI looking like stop motion. O.O -.- o.o *adds film's animation with Wall-E and The tale of Despereaux on her 'only films with really kick-ass CGI animation' list*

The pricess and the frog
2D animated disney film. Nuff said.

And that's it.

Bum twilight review and bolt

Fri Dec 5, 2008, 7:22 PM
[link]

I never read the books or saw the movie(personal reasons, other than the fact I heard a lot of negative reviews for it), but I still found the review funny.

And I saw Bolt today, dispite the fact Miley Montana(I'm indifferent with her, but I still belive she's got this un desivered fame, I mean, who heard of her before Hanna Montana?) is a voice actor and this was done in CGI animation, but it's still a very good film.

*SPOILERS!*

and all for those Miley Cryius(sp?) haters who advoied this just because of that fact, don't worry, she's not in the film that much, and it could had been wrose. I mean, the entire cast of High School Musical could done EVERY. SINGAL. CHARACTER. IN. THE. FILM.

Though I did have my nickpicks:
1. I wish the animation was liked Wall-E's. I mean, if all CGI movies have that much detail and beauty in it, I wouldn't mind CGI animation much. But, animation doesn't make plot.

2. Though the idea's oringal, it felt like they ripped a plot device in a pixar movie (Character who thinks TV series they're from is real, meets character from said basic as he and said character tries to give him the reality check, where have I heard this before?)

3. The geribel didn't get much developement. He stayed the same throughout the course of the film until the last sceane.

4. Why did they go with the perdictible 'happy ending' feel? It didn't help that they mentioned it early on that they say that ending was perdictable. I mean, would it hurt disney to kill off the main hero ONCE in a film, and STAYED dead? If theres one disney film that did that, I would watch it, no matter how crappy the plot may be.(and lion king doesn't count. I said hero, not parent.)

I mean, they didn't mind hurting the nads out of so many people from that Wall-E on-screan death tease(Apperently, I must be the only person who like the film that nads got spared from watching that.). What made that film different?

Other then that, it's a good film, in my opinion.
